Many organizations are doing important work in the community, including in restorative justice, transformative law, collaborative law, mediation, and activism, among others. PISLAP members of these organizations include Fania Davis, Doug Ammar, Mika Dashman, and other community activists.

The Bronx Defenders is a public defender nonprofit that is radically transforming how low-income people in the Bronx are represented in the justice system and, in doing so, is transforming the system itself.

Impact Justice is a national innovation and research center that is committed to reducing the number of people involved in our juvenile and adult criminal justice system, improving conditions for those who remain incarcerated, providing meaningful opportunities for success for those rejoining our communities and improving justice outcomes for crime victims.

To understand RESTORATIVE JUSTICE FOR OAKLAND YOUTH (RJOY) work, it is first important to understand our four pillars. Every one of our programs falls under one, or multiple of these pillars, and together they tell a comprehensive story about breaking the pervasive cycles of racialized violence and incarceration through practices of Restorative Justice.

Georgia Justice Project strengthens our community by demonstrating a better way to represent and support individuals in the criminal justice system and reduce barriers to reentry. GJP promotes innovative change through direct legal representation, policy advocacy, education and coalition building.

The Network of Spiritual Progressives (NSP) was formally launched with founding conferences in Berkeley in 2005 and Washington, D.C. in 2006, attracting together approximately 3,000 people interested in spiritual activism. In the next two years we grew to approximately 100 chapters around the U.S. from Seattle to Miami.

ALLIANCE FOR Unitive Justice is a model that falls within the broad umbrella of Restorative Justice, but at the best practices end of the spectrum because it has no punitive elements. It is also a model that is recognized within the international Integrative Law Movement. When implemented with fidelity, Unitive Justice is a path to transformative system change.
